Help the Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) fill Comerica Park with Catholics during its "Day at Comerica Park" Detroit Tigers game outing. The CYO will benefit from ticket sales through its office for Sunday, September 11th game between the Tigers and the Twins. Tickets start at $14 dollars with a $6 handling fee per order. On Sunday, September 18, 2011, the Archdiocese of Detroit, supported by the Knights of Columbus, will sponsor the eighth annual Mass for those who have a disability. This year's theme is "The last will be first".

This is a wonderful opportunity to share our faith and support individuals who are disabled, their caregivers and family members. Refreshments will be served after the liturgy.

St. Peter Claver will celebrate Father James O'Reily's 85th Birthday with an icecream social at St. Peter Claver from Noon till 2:00 p.m., June 12th. The event is open to all who wish to attend.

In order to best help any parishioner who may experience a medical emergency whle attending a parish function, including Mass, we are puting together an emergency contact list. Forms are available in the rear of the Church.

We have started our Parish Community Garden behind the Church. Initially, we will make this garden availab le to parishioners. If you would like to participate in getting this project going, please talk with Cassandra Woods.

A special all-day Parish Planning Conference will be held next Saturday, June 4th at Corpis Christi Parish.

It is time to elect 5 new members to our Parish Pastoral Council, replacing Tanda Flounory, Harold Moore, Chris Versele, Clarence Watts, and Cassandra Woods, who will complete their terms on June 30. Nomination forms must be returned no later than Sunday, June 5th. The term of new members will last until June 30, 2013.

Show that you care this Lenten Season by donating to the Saints Peter & Paul Warming Center in downtown Detroit. The Center gives homeless men, women and children a place to be and to eat. It is open 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. during the week.

Ash Wednesday Mass will be celebrated at 7:00 p.m. this Wednesday, March 9, in the Church. There will also be a Prayer Service at the Annex at 8:00 a.m. Finally, ahes will be available all day in the Parish House.
