Remember, the class is free will donation, so give from the heart. The proceeds will be used to continue community programs just like this one.

Christian Service will work with MOSES to promote social justice issues within our community and in the City of Detroit. We are seeking volunteers to help improve our roads, especially in the Fenkell and Wyoming area, and to ensure that our city workers are not endangered by Synder's Emergency Manger initiative. St. Vincent de Paul's Walk for the Poor

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul is holding a Friends of the Poor walk that will be held on Saturday, September 24th starting at Milleken State Park, 1900 Atwater Street in downtown Detroit. Lenten Relaxation Group

Sponsored by the Christian Service Commission, this group will meet on Tuesdays, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the Annex. Led by Bill Tidwell, you will learn relaxing, gently exercising and becoming aware of your breathing. Those who choose will lie on the ground (bring a mat); others will sit in a chair.
These techniques, much related to Christian meditation, can lead you to deeper prayer and relationship with God.
Begins Tuesday, March 15th at the Annex.
